Artificial vision for recognising objects regards images in a realistic and broken manner. In other words, it identifies fragments of an image as representations of objects or living beings; the image is not interpreted as a totality but as a collection of discrete elements.

We have altered the graphic output of YOLO9000 using various combinations regarding what is seen and what is hidden. These graphic outputs reveal the discrete and incomplete nature of the identification, they play with the gap between verbal and visual identification, and they convert the identification process into an abstract film (like a tracking of movements in the image using the YOLO9000 colour code).
