Barcelona’s art institutions

In this experiment, the training datasets were the collections of various art institutions in Barcelona (the MACBA, MNAC, Fundació Miró, Fundació Tàpies, Museu Picasso and Museu del Disseny). The images contained in each collection are very varied. Forced to arrive at a synthesis of them, the network ends up producing absurd interpretations. In this case, artificial vision enables us to satirise the discourse on art based on classification, which inevitably homogenises and simplifies artistic production.
