In Repetition Penalty, we use 8 LED screens to display texts generated by generative AI models, with the intention of highlighting their recursive logic and their tendency towards delirious repetition. The title refers to an internal parameter of these models that aims to avoid redundancy in text generation. By transforming these variations and statistical loops into a specific aesthetic, the installation explores the poetic potential of the ‘hallucinations’ of AI models.
